Episode 14: The Design Commission for Wales

Cindy Harris gives her views on the need for sustainable development in Wales.

The Design Council for Wales is a national organisation which was established in 2002 and is core funded by the National Assembly for Wales. They are one of four UK Commissions established to champion good design and a high quality built environment. The Design Commission like Lammas Ecovillage, because they are using ground breaking new techniques in both architecture and building materials. They recognise that it is essential that we find alternative ways of building in a world which is short of both resources and land.

Cindy Harris worked at the Centre for Alternative Technology (CAT) for 17 years and now works for the Design Commission for Wales. She gives her view on the Lammas project and the need for sustainable development in today's world.
