Episode 50: CIDEP

CIDEP stands for 'Centro de Investigación, Desarrollo y Enseñanza de Permacultura' - 'Centre for the Investigation, Development and Education of Permaculture'.

We rocked up to this beautiful and interesting spot with no prior notice or warning and were welcomed with a cup of tea, a guided tour with the lovely Alejandro Martín Alons, and an interview with one of the founders, Alejandro Allasia.

CIDEP stands for "Centro de Investigación, Desarrollo y Enseñanza de Permacultura" - Centre for the Investigation, Development and Education of Permaculture. It is a small community of like-minded individuals living on a piece of land just outside of El Bolson, in Patagonia, Argentina. They have been experimenting for years with natural building and now, they are planning an ecovillage. Their homes are made with adobe, straw bale and cob and powered by solar panels.
